What it controls
The Miuputake STN601-White Non-Programmable Thermostat is a non-programmable. Its listing doesn't spell out which heating and cooling systems it supports, so run the maker's compatibility checker before you buy.
Check your wall for a C terminal: the listing doesn't say whether it needs a C wire. The C wire guide covers adapters.
The maker states heat pump support ("Heat pump with auxiliary or emergency heat, Dual fuel/hybrid heating, Electric baseboard h"), so it can drive an O/B reversing valve and auxiliary heat. What a heat pump needs from a thermostat.
Stages, per the maker: Single-Stage. A second-stage wire (W2 or Y2) at your old thermostat needs matching support here. Single- and two-stage systems.
Power, per the listing: AAA batteries. Battery models often fit old two-wire circuits with no C wire.
Not sure of your wiring? The wiring checker reads your system from the terminal letters and checks it against this model's statements.
Also on the listing: dimensions of 0.98 in (D) x 4.72 in (W) x 3.86 in (H), a weight of 5.92 ounces and a lcd.
